Kathleen E. Bente, Esq.
Kathleen E. Bente graduated from the University of South Florida in December 1978, cum laude (with honors), with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She then went on to attend Law School at the University of Florida, graduating with her Juris Doctorate in May 1982. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in October 1982. She remained in Gainesville, Florida after graduation for several months working as a research assistant on a construction manual, which created in her an interest in the field of construction litigation. Her clientele in the construction arena has been varied. She has represented owners, contractors, sureties, material suppliers, architects and subcontractors in all aspects of contract and construction litigation.
In addition to construction litigation, Kathleen has experience in general civil litigation practices, encompassing real property claims and disputes, contractual disputes and commercial landlord/tenant actions. She is admitted to practice in the state of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Over the past thirty-six years, Kathleen has had substantial trial experience with both jury and bench trials, administrative hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and appellate proceedings.
